Please, no stealing this, people. A lot of love and hard work went into drawing this.

Ehhhhhhhhh… nothing too fancy. The mouse still isn’t working (though I’m beginning to suspect it’s because of something in Photoshop, though; maybe a virus?) so I decided to just go ahead and pass the time practicing coloring with Copics. (Yaaaaaaay… )

Ahaha, it’s kinda funny because I had drawn the lineart for this about two—almost three—months ago (in April) and then never got around to coloring it until either yesterday or the day before that (I forget which).

Yeah, so… it’s Lucas and Claus together. Yay. Hooray for Lucas and Clausness. I actually like this one because I think I did a good job of portraying their mirror personalities: Claus’s energetic confidence, Lucas’s shaky timidness. I remember I enjoyed drawing these two; Claus especially was very fun to draw (I like drawing energetic characters). The speechbubble was originally added so that people (who can read and understand Japanese) would be able to tell Claus apart from Lucas (hopefully).

Points to note: Claus’s hair came out too dark; in the original he had neonish-orange hair (much to my distaste ), but the scanner darkened it to almost a reddish tint. The light source/shading is really messed up. The color of the eyes didn’t turn out exactly like I’d wanted it to. I also wasn’t abe to Photoshop all of the mistakes I made while coloring, thanks to this stupid mouse, so bleh and go ahead and nitpick at me for them. (Which is why you can’t see the shading on their socks real well since I didn’t spend that much time on them) Also, I know it looks like Claus is shorter then Lucas, but I think it’s because Claus is sort of leaning back, wheras Lucas is standing pretty much straight up. Finally, I did add shading to the twosomes’ shoes, but since I am lacking a wide variety of Copic markers/TomBow brushes, I had to use the same brushes for coloring over and over to gradually darken the areas, which OF COURSE the scanner did not pick up while scanning.

This is probably going to be scrapped sometime soon. If I ever get that stupid mouse fixed, I’ll try recoloring this using Photoshop (and maybe add a background!), but it depends on how soon I can fix the problem…

Stupid DeviantART, why must there be a thirty character limit that results in cutting off the "e" in "practice"?
